Umfang, the project of Brooklyn-based Emma Burgess-Olson, creates raw and abstract techno using analog equipment. A co-founder of the influential Discwoman collective, her sound is inspired by early Detroit techno and acid house, resulting in visceral, freely flowing tracks. Her performances in New York's vibrant electronic scene showcase her distinctive, lo-fi yet kinetic style.
