Protoje, born Oje Ken Ollivierre in Jamaica, is a leading figure in the contemporary reggae revival movement. His music blends roots reggae with modern influences, often carrying conscious lyrics and social commentary, as heard in hits like "Who Knows" and "Kingston Be Wise." With a musical lineage (his mother is reggae singer Lorna Bennett), Protoje has garnered international acclaim and multiple Grammy nominations.
