Mukqs, the solo project of Chicago's Maxwell Allison (co-founder of Hausu Mountain), delivers a unique brand of improvised electronic music. Utilizing samplers, drum machines, and loopers, his sound is a dense, colorful collage often influenced by video games and Japanese culture, recorded live to cassette.
